Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Professional, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Armed Guard Card or License.
• DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws; driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and transit personnel by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances calmly, coordinating with transit operations, emergency services, and law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, report observations and hazards per site procedures.
• Maintain armed post qualifications and handle equipment per Allied Universal policies and laws.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or transit personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with transit operations, emergency services, and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, identify potential security-related concerns, and report observations, incidents, and maintenance-related hazards according to site procedures.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Have 3+ years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, Armed Security Professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a DD214 with an Honorable Discharge, an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
