St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring an Armed Security Officer to join our Grant Security Team and ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role emphasizes professional service and customer relations, with a focus on the use of deadly force when required and collaboration with local law enforcement.

The position is full time on the 2nd shift, with 40 hours per week. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED (or a bachelor’s degree) and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with applicable Criminal Justice experience.
• OR Bachelor's Degree.
• Valid driver's license and must be insurable by the Hospital insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Directs visitors, patients and employees to appropriate location(s) and intervenes to prevent and control disturbances.
• Protects, secures, and safeguards all persons on SEH property.
• Monitor activity via closed circuit television and manage alarm systems.
