Job summary

APSi is seeking a Security Guard in Kapolei, Hawaii to perform fixed-post, mobile, and foot patrols, maintaining situational awareness and following post orders, rules, and protocols. Duties include monitoring alarms, inspecting vehicles, and reporting incidents while working in varied weather conditions.

Available shifts may include full-time, part-time, or on-call; candidates must have a state Guard card, a valid driver’s license, and pass pre-hire screening.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2 years security/civilian law enforcement or US armed forces equivalent.
• Language: Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Pre-Hire Screening: Pass criminal background, drug test, and physical exam.
• Certifications: State-issued Guard card before hire.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alarms, radio traffic, and inform others as needed.
• Inspect vehicles and pedestrians per post orders.
• Prevent passage of prohibited articles into client facility.
• Escort individuals or vehicles per post orders.
• Log property movements and verify equipment.
• Coordinate with law enforcement as required.
