Job summary

APSi is hiring a Security Guard in Mobile, Alabama to perform fixed-post, mobile, or foot patrols with vigilant situational awareness. The role includes shifts, weather-resilient duty, and responsibilities across alarms, access control, and emergency response.

The position requires at least 2 years in security or military experience, fluent English, and successful background checks. Candidates must meet physical demands and be able to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years security experience or US military equivalent.
• Must be fluent in speaking and writing in English.
• Must pass criminal background screen, drug test and physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Keep supervisors informed of unusual events as per post orders and protocols.
• Monitor alarms, radio traffic and other information sources.
• Report and address alarms, incidents, theft, and unauthorized access.
• Stop, screen and inspect vehicles and pedestrians per post orders.
• Escort individuals or vehicles as directed and grant access per procedures.
• Log property movements and monitor equipment for loss or damage.
• Coordinate with local, state, or federal authorities when needed.
• Perform regular building and facility patrols and inspections.
