Job summary

Allied Universal, Baytown, TX, is seeking a Security Officer Patrol to safeguard clients across industries, including chemical/petrochemical locations. As an unarmed officer, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED; you will work a day/evening schedule, provide excellent customer service, and communicate clearly with site teams.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the chemical and petrochemical location, including buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Document patrol observations, incidents, and potential hazards, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site personnel.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Baytown, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in the job state. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, innovative team that acts with integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
