Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer Part Time Enhanced in Austin, TX. The role offers reliable, fixed hours with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, and a pay rate of $30.90 per hour.

Responsibilities include protecting tenants and visitors, responding to incidents, and conducting regular armed patrols across the site. Minimums cover 3+ years of security experience and an active Armed Guard Card, with health and background checks as standard.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card/License required.
• 5+ years of security experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as condition of employment.
• Criminal histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training required.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, de-escalation, and proper notifications.
• Conduct armed patrols of interior, parking, common, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain orderly entry/exit procedures.
• Carry firearm and equipment per Allied Universal policies and document incidents.
