Job summary

Allied Universal in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an armed security officer for part-time patrol duties at a premier residential location. You will conduct routine armed patrols, deter incidents, respond to concerns, and provide professional customer service to residents and guests.

Requirements include an armed guard card or license, at least six months of armed security or related experience, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Have customer service experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document observations, incidents, and/or unusual conditions according to site-specific procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with residents, visitors, property personnel, and emergency responders while following applicable armed post requirements.
