Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Montgomery, AL to provide reliable hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

The role is an unarmed patrol with a pay rate of $16.30 per hour and a fixed schedule that includes daytime and evening shifts. The company offers growth opportunities and a supportive, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• A drug screen will be performed where permitted by law and licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
