Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access control requirements, and emergency response activities at a utility operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, unauthorized access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and utility infrastructure to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor and report security-related conditions involving gates, fencing, lighting, vehicles, equipment, and restricted areas, documenting observations in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with site personnel, visitors, contractors, and public service agencies while following applicable armed officer policies and procedures.
