Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a part-time armed Security Officer to monitor government facilities and ensure safety for clients across shifting schedules. Pay rate is $22.26 per hour, with daytime shifts and a consistent, predictable workload.

You will deter incidents through visible patrols, verify credentials, and communicate with supervisors and emergency responders, while delivering strong customer service and a safety-first approach.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• College degree required.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor activity, unusual occurrences, and patrol findings in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate clearly with supervisors, law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or other authorized personnel when required.
