Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience or more.
• Valid armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Armed roles require age 21+.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency responses as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while following all laws, licensing requirements, training standards, and Allied Universal policies.
