Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and required logs; maintain proficiency with assigned equipment and follow applicable weapons‑handling procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
