GardaWorld Security Services is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a part-time schedule in San Francisco, CA. The role requires patrolling locations, observing surroundings, and responding to incidents with a calm, decisive approach.

You will work a set 6-hour weekly shift ( Saturdays 10:00am–4:00pm) at $35/hour, with benefits including medical, dental, and vision, plus a 401(k) with employer matching. GardaWorld emphasizes safety, training, and opportunity for growth.

Qualifications

• State security license required with BSIS 32hr trainings (can be obtained during hiring).
• Must be 21 years old.
• One year of armed security experience.
• Active exposed firearm permit required.
• Resume up to date required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post checks of officers under supervision.
• Train new officers.
• Ensure 100% site coverage and zero gaps.
• Issue corrective action forms (CAFs).
• Patrol sensitive areas and spot suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• React quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check alarms and cameras for proper function.
• Document incidents and actions taken; respond to alarms.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during incidents.
• Ensure safety and protection of people and property.

• As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Responsibilities Of a Armed Security Officer - Part Time

• Make sure you have 100 % coverage of your site to insure there are zero dark posts
• Issue corrective action forms (CAFs)
• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the proper functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions takenRespond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of for a Armed Security Officer - Part Time

• You have a state security license and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
• Must be 21 years of age
• Must have one year of armed security experience
• Must have active exposed firearm permit
• Please include your most up to date security resume
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of HS Diploma or GED
• First aid certification is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
