GardaWorld Security Services in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Tactical Armed Security Officer to join our team. The role requires vigilance, quick assessment, and professional conduct during patrols across retail, airport, or detention center environments.

We offer a full-time daytime schedule (6:00am–3:30pm) with a competitive $42/hour wage, comprehensive benefits, uniform provided, and opportunities for career growth. California BSIS Guard Card and armed officer credentials are required.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age
• First aid certification is an asset
• Valid driver's license

• State armed security license and firearm-compliance requirements
• CA Exposed Firearm Permit
• CA BSIS Guard Card

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Check the functioning of alarms and cameras
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Ensure safety and protection of individuals and property

As a Security Officer – Tactical, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling environments such as retail stores, airports, detention centers, etc.

Responsibilities of Tactical Armed Security Guard

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity

Qualifications of Tactical Armed Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• You are at least 21 years of age
• First aid certification is an asset
• Must have a valid driver's license
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have CPR certification
• You have at least 2 years experience as an Armed Officer
• You have a state issued armed security license and meet any additional requirements to carry a firearm as a security officer in your state.
• Must have law enforcement experience
• Must have a CCW
• You have a CA security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32hr. BSIS security trainings (Additional security trainings can be obtained during the hiring process)
• You have a CA Exposed Firearm Permit
