Allied Universal, offering security and facility services, seeks an Armed Security Officer at a medical facility in Brooklyn, NY. The role is full-time with a pay rate of $42.00 per hour. You will monitor access, patrol areas, and respond to incidents while maintaining professionalism and teamwork.

Job Description

As an Armed Security Officer Medical Facility Control Access in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to campus needs. This armed post requires applicable licensing. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and delivers through teamwork.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned locations, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious persons, conditions, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Carry and maintain assigned duty equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, training, and Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
