Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking an armed security officer for a medical facility in New York, NY. This part-time position focuses on protecting people and property while delivering professional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform armed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents with calm, decisive action. A valid Armed Guard Card/License, Law Enforcement Officer License, and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, and perimeter, while helping to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.
