Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring an Armed Security Officer for a full-time role in Buffalo Grove, IL. The position involves patrolling, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering exceptional customer service while safeguarding clients across manufacturing and industrial locations.

You will carry an assigned firearm, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and complete accurate activity reports.

Qualifications

Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, will undergo background investigation and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site procedures.
Conduct regular armed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, emergencies, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
Monitor access points, verify credentials, and track personnel and vehicle activity.
Carry the assigned firearm and equipment in compliance with laws and Allied Universal policies; complete reports.
