Job summary

Tanner Health System is seeking an Armed Security Officer Level II for night shifts at multiple Georgia locations. The role requires maintaining safety for staff, patients and the public, and handling volatile behavioral health situations with professionalism.

Candidates must hold a valid Weapons Carry License, a Driver's License, CPR certification, and pass background checks and psychological testing. IAHSS Advanced training and Tanner firearms instruction are required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of related security experience preferred.
• Must be able to legally drive in GA and be insurable by vehicle insurance.
• Must obtain and maintain a state Weapons Carry License where reside.
• Annual background checks required; psychological examination required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety and security of staff, patients and the public.
• Manage incidents involving volatile behavioral health characteristics.
• Possess Tanner Health System firearm and operate in accordance with firearm training.
