Qualifications

• CPO certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of corrections, law enforcement, military or degree in criminal justice.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card/license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations calmly and coordinate with hospital personnel and responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with access-control procedures, visitor direction, and escort requests per site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain assigned equipment per policy.
