Job summary

Constellis is seeking qualified armed security professionals to safeguard government facilities and personnel. The role requires extensive security experience, ability to operate under DHS protocols, and proficient report writing. Expect 12-hour shifts and potential extended hours, including nights and weekends, in a federal facility environment.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or eligible, possess a high school diploma or GED, and pass background, drug screening, and fitness exams.

Qualifications

• US citizen or lawful permanent resident with honorable discharge from any US armed forces component
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum of two years armed security experience OR one year full-duty law enforcement experience with a recognized agency OR two years honorable service in any US Armed Forces
• Demonstrated handgun proficiency and ability to meet certification standards
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and to prepare reports

Responsibilities

• Provide professional armed security and access control services
• Protect government property, classified materials, and personnel from unauthorized access, theft, or damage
• Monitor and control entry and exit points within assigned areas
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious activity promptly
• Apply sound judgment to identify and mitigate risks while enforcing regulations
• Maintain post orders and report violations clearly and promptly
• Complete accurate, timely security reports
• Perform heavy work and stand on post for extended periods, including 12-hour shifts
• Work outdoors in varying weather and conditions; travel may be required
