Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• Minimum six months armed security-related experience.
• California weapons permit with 9mm endorsement.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor entry processes, and maintain access-related documentation in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities, incidents, and policy-related observations.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
