Allied Universal in Palmdale, CA is seeking an Armed Security Officer Access Control to safeguard client sites across Tech/Media/Telecom industries. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service.

• CA weapons permit with 9mm endorsement.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Must be 21+ years old for armed roles; 18+ for unarmed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by conducting site-specific access control.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor records, and direct guests per site requirements.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and communicate access control concerns to appropriate staff.

• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct guests in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and communicate access control concerns, policy violations, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
