Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a FPS/DHS contract in St. Croix, USVI. The role involves protecting people and property, building strong client relationships, and responding to incidents in a professional, protocol-driven manner.

This position requires a valid firearms license under USVI, experience in armed security or relevant military training, and fluency in English. The job offers a structured schedule with holidays off and opportunities for ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Two years armed security experience or equivalent National Guard or police training.
• DHS FPS clearance preferred or be subject for a clearance process on time.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Firearms license under St. Croix jurisdiction and armed registered.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues and emergencies according to Federal protocol.
• Understand site-specific operations including manuals and post orders.
• Greet visitors and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner.
• Answer questions and assist visitors and employees.
• Remain flexible to ever-changing environment; adapts well to different situations.
• Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
• Answer phones and greet guests and employees.
• Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms in mostly all locations.
