Allied Universal is actively hiring for a Part Time Armed Protective Security Officer in St. Croix, USVI (Puerto Rico Branch). The role focuses on protecting people and property while building strong client relationships and ensuring high-quality security services.

Qualifications include 21+ years of age, a high school diploma or GED, and 2 years of armed security experience. English fluency and a firearms license for St. Croix are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of armed security experience or equivalent service.
• DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service clearance preferred or ability to obtain clearance.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English.
• Firearms license under St. Croix jurisdiction and armed registered per USVI.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build, improve, and maintain relationships with client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues and emergencies according to Federal protocol.
• Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle; monitor CCTV systems and alarms.

Pay rate: $28.84* per hour

• $23.10 per hour + $5.03 Health and Wellfare + $0.71 Benefits

Essential Functions:

• Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with both client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues and emergencies according to Federal protocol.
• Understand site-specific operations including manuals and post orders.
• Greet visitors and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner.
• Answer questions and assist visitors and employees.
• Remain flexible to ever-changing environment; adapts well to different situations.
• Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
• Answer phones and greet guests and employees.
• Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms in mostly all locations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements AND possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Must meet at least ONE of the following italicized criteria:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of armed security experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of service in National Guard service (active or reserve), Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) and raining, or
  • Successful completion of police officers' standard training courses.
  • Candidates should have prior firearms 2 years’ experience.
• DHS Homeland Security Federal Protective Service Clearance preferred or be subject for a clearance process on time.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills required, verbal and written fluency in English is required.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English orally and in writing for public interaction and report writing.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Ability to provide quality customer service.
• Ability to handle emergencies efficiently and effectively at client sites.
• Candidates must complete pre-employment background, drug screen, physical exam, and reference check.
• Firearms License under St. Croix jurisdiction and armed registered according to USVI Police Department.
