Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group is seeking an Armed Security Guard in Waukegan, IL. You will provide security at client sites, patrol premises, monitor surveillance, and respond to incidents. Flexibility for shifts and sites is essential as client needs change.

Applicants must have a valid firearms license or certification, Active PERC and FOID, and own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher. Prior armed security experience is preferred, with strong communication and de-escalation

Qualifications

• Previous armed security or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.
• Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.
