Job summary

ADC Ltd is seeking an FAA Level III Armed Security Officer to protect FAA facilities and assets in Charlotte, NC. You will support access control, screening, and incident response while adhering to Facility Post Orders and security plans.

The position requires CPR/First Aid/AED certification, non-lethal and weapon qualifications as per FAA/ADC standards, and strong judgment in stressful situations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Three years of security experience preferred or equivalent FAA/POST training.
• CPR, First Aid and AED certifications required; non-lethal and weapon qualifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Control access for personnel and vehicles per post orders and security plan.
• Screen visitors, vehicles, mail/parcels; conduct search with metal detectors or x-ray equipment.
• Enforce facility rules and issue badges; patrol facilities and perimeter areas.
• Process visitors and issue temporary badges; respond to alarms and incidents.
• Conduct building and vehicle inspections; manage traffic, parking and pedestrian flow.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and coordinate with FAA COR and ADC managers.
• Monitor video surveillance and maintain communications with security team.
• Respond to emergencies; perform first aid and police-style actions when required.
