Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Afternoon Flex in Las Vegas, NV. This part-time role offers fixed anchor shifts and a flexible scheduling option to pick up additional shifts through our platform, with a base pay of $21.86 per hour.

You'll be responsible for customer service at the site, patrols, access control, incident response, and maintaining documentation according to site procedures. Minimum requirements apply, including an Armed Guard Card/License.

Qualifications

• Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support a welcoming environment.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and report suspicious conditions, policy violations, hazards, and incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain required reports and documentation, communicate observations to site leadership, and handle issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Education

3+ years law enforcement/security experience

As an Armed Security Officer - Afternoon Flex in Las Vegas, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.86 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
