Job summary

SCIS in North Carolina seeks an armed Security Officer to protect client property, visitors, and personnel. You will control access, monitor entrances, and respond to emergencies using escalation of force as required. The role may involve patrols and incident reporting on high-profile sites.

Requirements include 21+ years old, a high school diploma or GED, and background checks. Prior armed security or law enforcement experience and U.S. military service are preferred. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background and reference checks, drug testing, and possible medical/fitness requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations to ensure security and safety.
• Control access to client site and monitor entrances/exits; screen visitors and employees.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate escalation of force; assist in maintaining order and enforcing site rules.
• Patrol assigned site by foot or vehicle; inspect for hazards, unauthorized access, and safety violations.
• Prepare logs/reports and communicate incidents to management and authorities.
