Allied Universal in Katy, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Part Time to protect a retail location and deter incidents. You will perform armed patrols, respond to security events, and maintain a professional presence while delivering excellent customer service.

Requirements include a Texas Level III Armed Certification, a valid driver’s license, and being 21 years or older. The role is part-time with a pay rate of $22.00 per hour and a flexible evening/night schedule.

Qualifications

As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
