Job summary

Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Spring, TX. You will protect clients in Retail/Malls and other sites, providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a visible security presence.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, Level III Armed Certification, and being at least 21 years old. Schedule is set through our Claim a Shift platform, with pay of $17.25 per hour and opportunities for growth

As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 11:30 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store management and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately, and maintain professional communication with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
