Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a retail store location in Houston, TX. You will provide customer service, deter theft, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The position requires a valid Texas Level III Armed Certification, a driver's license, and 3+ years in security or 5+ years armed security experience; schedule varies with daytime/evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, delivery areas, and employee entrances; verify authorized access in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

As a Armed Security Officer Retail Store - Uvalde Rdin Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
