Job summary

Constellis is seeking armed security personnel to guard the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. The role requires U.S. citizenship, a valid driver's license, a high school diploma, and passing the PAT with required military-style firearms qualifications.

Training consists of five weeks of full-time instruction, followed by a schedule based on contract needs. Positions can be full-time or part-time, and employees must be capable of operating under harsh conditions, with potential travel and adherence

Qualifications

• USCitizen
• 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license
• High School Diploma
• Successfully complete Physical Agility Test (PAT) per local policy and Army Regulation 190-56 on hire and annually
• Perform 19 pushups in 2 minutes
• Run 1.5 miles in 17 minutes 30 seconds
• Qualify with assigned weapons per local policy on Army Military Police Firearms Qualification Course on hire and semi-annually
• Undergo medical examination on hire and annually
• Meet training requirements and obtain/maintain certifications
• Obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance after hire
• DCJS Armed or Unarmed License preferred but not required
• Meet grooming/appearance standards per local policy

Responsibilities

• Provide physical security for Radford Army Ammunition Plant against theft, fire, Sabotage or unauthorized entry.
• Patrol facilities by foot/vehicle to deter illegal activities.
• Protect government property, classified materials, and personnel to prevent access or destruction.
• Respond to emergencies using appropriate force and weaponry as needed.
• Identify and address security or safety concerns and take appropriate actions.
• Control ingress/egress of posted areas and enforce rules and regulations.
• Perform duties that may require use of force, including deadly force when warranted.
• Enforce trespass and contraband rules, and report violations.
• Respond to alarms and suspicious activities.
• Maintain knowledge of security orders and weapon maintenance, qualification, and fitness requirements.
• Remain proficient in handling duty weapons and related maintenance.
• May be exposed to outdoor conditions and high noise; travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
