Qualifications

• Six months or more armed security-related experience (security, law enforcement, or military).
• California weapons permit with 9mm endorsement.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
• Armed roles require 21+ years (18+ for unarmed).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and vendors through access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor sign-in, and keep access records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and security concerns; escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate incidents and observations with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor sign-in procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, policy concerns, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
