Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Wilson, NC to safeguard clients across financial institutions and other locations. You will perform armed patrols, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license, minimum security experience, background check, and adherence to policy. Pay is $22.29 per hour with a schedule including daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least three years of experience as military police/officer or armed security, or a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screening may be required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors while following site procedures and policy.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the premises and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor/contractor authorization per site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment per laws, policies, and site rules.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, financial institution policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and public emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the business, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report suspicious activity, facility concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least three years of experience as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed security professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
