Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Armed Patrol Driver in Bayboro, NC. You will perform armed vehicle and foot patrols, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to staff and visitors at a government corrections site. Position Type: Full Time.

Pay rate: $21.50 per hour. You will respond to security incidents, document activities, and adhere to our values of reliability and integrity while coordinating with emergency

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a government corrections location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate escalation procedures and coordinating with designated personnel and emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.

As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Driver in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This is an armed driving post.

• Wed: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sun: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least six months of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
