Allied Universal in State College, PA is seeking a part-time, armed Security Officer focused on access control and patrol duties. You will deter incidents and provide courteous, clear service to clients and staff while maintaining a visible security presence.

Applicants must have Act 235 qualification, PA Concealed Carry permit, and 21+ age, plus 3+ years in law enforcement, corrections, or armed security, with willingness to travel up to 40 miles.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include the ability to travel up to 40 miles from the Greater State College, PA area.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania.
• PA Concealed Carry Weapons permit is required if the position involves carrying a weapon.
• Must be 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years combined Armed Security / Law Enforcement / Armed Corrections or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and enforce site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents and emergencies; act as first responder when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter.
• Maintain proficiency with protective equipment and weapons.
• Greet and direct visitors, escort contractors, and secure ingress/egress points.
• Follow post orders and report safety concerns or breaches.
• Communicate with client and security teams to ensure order execution.
