• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, coordinating with emergency personnel as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs, communicating observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Armed Security Officerin Ventura, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $24.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security‑related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and facility‑related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with emergency personnel and site representatives as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, communicating observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
