Job summary

Prosegur is seeking a highly qualified Armed Security Officer to protect client assets and maintain a secure environment. The role requires vigilance, responsibility, and adherence to security protocols, with background in law enforcement or military police preferred.

Responsibilities include patrols, access control, incident reporting, and coordination with local law enforcement. Must possess firearms license and be able to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Position Overview:We areseekinga highly skilled Armed Security Officer to protect our clients’ assets, ensure the safety of personnel, andmaintaina secure environment. This role requiresa strong senseof vigilance,a high levelof responsibility, and adherence to all security protocols and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a background in law enforcement, military police, or corrections and must be capable of handling a firearm responsibly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas,identifyingpotential security breaches or hazards
• Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents promptly and professionally
• Control access points andmonitorpremises to prevent unauthorized access
• Provide emergency response, including de-escalation, arrest control, and restraining individuals as necessary
• Maintain clear and concise incident reports and documentation for all security-related incidents
• Engage with individuals in a courteous and professional manner to enforce rules and regulations
• Coordinate with local law enforcement whenrequired

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience: Background in Military Police, law enforcement, or certified corrections isrequired
• Firearms: Must have own firearm and a valid license to carry; an armed guard license isrequiredin applicable states
• Training: Certified in arrest control, handcuff, and baton use
• Screenings: Must pass random drug testing and a psychological evaluation
• Physical Fitness: Capable of performing physical duties such as patrolling, responding to incidents, and managing potentially intense confrontations
• Compliance: Understanding of and commitment to all local, state, and federal security and firearm regulations
• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must have obtained Top Security Clearance in the past 5 years
• Must have obtained a Security Clearance in the past 5 years

Preferred Skills:

• Strong observational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication and de-escalation abilities
• High levelof professionalism and discretion
• Prior training or certification in security management, conflict resolution, or emergency response

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
• Capable of lifting or moving objects up to 50lbsas needed
