Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Retail(Guarding) in Fort Lauderdale, FL to protect customers and staff while delivering professional security services.

You will perform armed security duties, patrols, and incident reporting, ensuring compliance with client procedures. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, along with a valid armed license and your own weapon.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Must have a valid Armed License (G License).
• Must own a weapon.
• Preferred prior law enforcement or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while performing armed security duties.
• Promote safety by observing, correcting, and reporting hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and client post instructions.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public professionally.
• Perform routine foot patrols and handle basic to moderate lifting in all weather.

Job Skills / Requirements

Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general armed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Armed Security Officer.
• Customer Service Experience (1year)
• Must have a valid Armed License - G License
• Must have their own weapon
• Preferred prior law enforcement or military experience
