Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises is seeking an Armed Security Officer to control access, respond to emergencies, and patrol facilities to protect personnel and property. The role requires maintaining firearms licensure and completing ongoing security training.

The position emphasizes calm performance under pressure, strong judgment, and the ability to work independently within club policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Associates Equivalents or combination of education and experience preferred.
• 4-6 years armed security work experience in a professional setting preferred.
• Familiarity with security policies and procedures.
• Experience performing technical procedures and completing reports.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under duress and exercise sound judgment regarding use of weapon.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Conduct access control at all entry/exit points to ensure only authorized personnel and guests are admitted.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow response procedures.
• Patrol perimeter, exterior and interior to protect people and property and complete written reports.
• Identify threats to employees, facilities, and operations.
• Complete required training according to Club policies and procedures.
• Maintain firearms licenses/certifications and complete armed security training.

Job description

Armed Security Officer

Job Duties

• Conduct access control at all access/exit points to ensure only authorized personnel and guests are permitted on property and unauthorized individuals are removed.
• Quickly respond to emergency situations based on available information and training, make appropriate notifications, follow emergency response procedures.
• Patrol the perimeter, exterior and interior of the property to ensure the safety of all personnel and protection of the property. Complete written reports as required.
• Identify threats to employees, facilities, and operations.
• Complete assigned training according to Club policies and procedures.
• Complete continuous armed security training and maintain appropriate firearm licenses/certifications.

The Security Department is a 24/7 resource, which provides assistance and services to all employees and guests.

Qualifications

• Associates Equivalent combination of education and experience Preferred
• 4-6 years Armed security work experience in a professional setting. Preferred
• Familiarity with Security policies and procedures.
• Experience performing technical procedures and completing reports.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively while under duress. Exercise sound judgment regarding the use of weapon.

• Capable of working independently without extensive direction or oversight.

• Detail-oriented and ability to multi-task.
• Valid Driver's License, acceptable Department of Motor Vehicles record and minimum liability insurance - Issued by State Required
• Guard Registration - Bureau of Security & Investigative Services Required
• Firearms Permit/License Required
