Job summary

Crane Currency in Nashua, NH is seeking an Armed Security Officer to protect people, property and assets across our facility. You will monitor access, respond to incidents and coordinate with local law enforcement as needed.

The role requires vigilance, the ability to work a rotating 3-on/3-off schedule from 6:45am to 7:00pm, weekend/holiday rotation, and a NH Armed Guard License. Company offers strong pay and benefits and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of armed security, military, or law enforcement experience.
• Basic first aid/CPR/AED certification preferred or required.
• NH Armed Guard License must be obtained and maintained.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance systems.
• Investigate unusual activity and prevent unauthorized building access.
• Use non-deadly force per policy when necessary and coordinate with authorities.
• Inspect parcels and track secure material receipts from the facility.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols and report vulnerabilities.
• Prepare comprehensive incident reports and support emergency response.
• Enforce safety and security policies and assist Security Supervisor.
• Provide basic medical care and facilitate access for responders.

Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for a Armed Security Officer, based out of Nashua, New Hampshire.

This is a rotating 3 days on 3 days off shift schedule. The hours are 6:45am to 7:00pm. Must be able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.

Your primary responsibilities include facility security and asset protection, observation and reporting, communication and training and emergency response.

• Monitor access control, intrusion detection and surveillance systems and investigate unusual activity.
• Prevent unauthorized access to the premises by engaging in Security Questioning or contacting local law enforcement.
• Use non-deadly force or firearms for self-defense or defense of another person per policies and procedures.
• Inspect all outgoing parcels and track the receipt of secure material shipped from the facility.
• Perform interior and exterior visual patrols, reporting vulnerabilities, potential hazards, unusual findings, or ideas for improvements.
• Comprehensive incident reporting of unusual activity and investigative outcome.
• Enforce all safety and security policies and procedures and report violations to the Security Supervisor.
• Provide basic medical care and facilitate access for Emergency Responders in the event of an emergency.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

Required:

• 1 - 2 years of experience in armed security, military, or law enforcement or an associate degree or higher in criminal justice or related field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Basic 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Armed Guard License in State of NH.
• Basic computer skills.
• High energy with the ability to prioritize and multi-task many activities at the same time.
• Ability to display confidence and be adaptive in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong conflict management and conflict resolutions skills.Position subject to mandatory overtime based on staffing requirements.
• Position subject to travel to Crane facilities in support of Security requirements.
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and will need to demonstrate Suitability for employment in a Position of Public Trust consistent with our U.S. Government contract requirements

Preferred:

• Knowledge of CCTV, premise alarm protection, and access control systems preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
