This role requires vigilance, reporting, and compliance with post orders while maintaining safety and security operations on site. You will perform access control, incident reporting, security systems monitoring, and emergency response, with training including baton, defensive tactics, and weapons qualification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 60-semester hours required.
• Three years security experience in past five years or three years military/National Guard.
• POST course or equivalent combination recognized.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Background check required.
• Fluent English reading/writing.
• Competent with Microsoft applications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls/incidents and safeguard scenes.
• Perform crowd control when needed.
• Conduct security checks (personnel, vehicles, buildings).
• Provide First Aid/CPR as required.
• Complete reports via electronic security systems.
• Familiar with CCTV, access control, emergency notification systems, mobile security apps.
• Maintain weapons qualification and grooming as per policy.
• Protect assets and escort persons/equipment as needed.
• Follow SOPs and complete assignments accordingly.

POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc, a company of Afognak Native Corporation, has opportunities for F/T Armed Security Officers. The role of the Armed Security Officer is a full-time position located in Miami, Florida in support of a commercial aviation manufacturer in support of an aviation assembly plant. The role includes but is not limited to a variety of security related duties.

• Responding to a variety of calls/incidents.
• Safeguard and secures all scenes.
• Performs crowd control when needed.
• Performs personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks.
• First Aid and CPR as required.
• Completes all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security applications.
• Must be familiar with various Security systems such as: CCTV’s, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications.
• Safely maintains and qualifies with assigned weapons, maintains uniform and grooming standards in accordance with company policies.
• Safeguards all assets, provides motorist assistance and escort persons and equipment as needed.
• Conducts other assignments in accordance with established SOP's.

$27.14 to $29.14 Hourly Hourly Rate

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• An Associate’s degree, or at least 60-semester hours college credit in any field of study.
• Three (3) years security experience within past five (5) years or
• Three (3) years military or National Guard experience, (active or reserve)
• Successful completion of Police Officer Standard Training (POST) course, or any reasonable combination of the above.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation.
• Must Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
• Must be able to demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications.
• Must be capable of learning new computer programs and applications.
• Must be able to work various shifts, to include weekends and Holidays.
• Must be able to successfully complete approximately 80 hrs. of company provided training. (Classes are scheduled 7 days a week)
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen.
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment Physical Readiness Test.
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass all company provided training; to include Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and incident report writing.
• Must have a clean Driving Record.
• Must possess and maintain state required Armed Security Officer licensing.
• Must possess and maintain state required Concealed Carry Permit (where applicable).
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with little supervision.
