Job summary

Security Services Northwest, Inc. in Everett, WA is seeking an Unarmed Security Guard to deter theft, monitor activities, perform access control and provide safety escorts. The role represents the SSNW brand on site.

The position requires a valid WA Security Guard license, reliable transport, and the ability to work non-traditional hours including nights and holidays. Salary ranges from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour, with benefits and opportunity for overtime.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license.
• Must have a clean criminal record and driving record.
• 24 years of combined experience (Military, Law Enforcement, and/or Security) preferred.
• Must have, or be able to obtain a Washington State Security Guard license.
• Smartphone required to access scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting apps.
• Reliable transportation.
• Honesty and integrity.
• Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to react appropriately in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
• Monitor activities and access control.
• Provide safety escorts.
• Use provided communication devices.
• Represent SSNWs brand.
• Wear the issued uniform.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR) and Incident Reports.
• Work with local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following procedures.
• Other duties as described in the Post Orders.

Required Skills/Abilities

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior Public Safety and/or Military experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
• Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
