Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group is seeking an Armed Security Guard to provide on-site security at client locations in Ohio. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and opportunities to work at multiple sites, with an emphasis on vigilance and professional conduct.

The ideal candidate will hold a HS Diploma, OPOTA certification, and own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher. Prior armed security experience is preferred, with strong situational awareness and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Active OPOTA certification required.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Previous armed security experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring safety of personnel, premises and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed; schedules may change by client needs.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor surveillance to ensure adherence to security protocols.
• Accurately document incidents and report them for follow-up.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership.
