Job summary

Silver Star Protection Group is seeking an armed security guard for client site duties in Youngstown, OH. The role is part-time with flexible hours and a focus on safety, surveillance, and incident reporting.

You must hold OPOTA authorization, own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher, and be able to stand or patrol for extended periods. Weekly pay and a referral bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active OPOTA required.
• Must own a firearm with a level 2 retention holster or higher.
• Previous armed security or related experience preferred.
• Strong situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and de-escalation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services at the assigned client site(s), ensuring the safety and security of personnel, premises, and assets.
• Be available to work various shifts and client sites as needed. Schedule and locations may change depending on client needs, staffing requirements, or other operational factors.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, visitors, and staff. Ensure that all communication fosters a positive and secure environment.
• Conduct regular patrols of the assigned site and monitor surveillance equipment, ensuring adherence to the client’s security protocols.
• Accurately document any incidents, security breaches, or irregularities, and promptly report them to the appropriate personnel for follow-up.
• Additional duties as assigned by Silver Star leadership team.
