Job summary

Allied Universal in Magna, UT is seeking an Armed Security Guard Driver to protect clients across aerospace and defense locations. You will perform scheduled and random patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while upholding a people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, an armed guard card or license (preferred), and a high school diploma. Shift schedule is daytime with full-time hours; hourly pay is $26.35.

Job Description

As an Armed Security Guard Driver in Magna, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. Conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points and alarm activity, respond to incidents, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related concerns. Use strong communication and customer service skills while representing our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, vehicle, and incident information accurately.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and communicate observations, incidents, and shift activity to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
