Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Flex Officer for San Antonio, Texas, offering $17.00 per hour. The role requires an active Texas Armed Level III Security License and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

You'll support multiple industries and use our shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts based on availability, gaining diverse site experience. As a Security Flex Officer you may work irregular hours with little notice, build hands-on experience, and grow

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• No prior experience required.
• Must be 18+ (21 if armed).
• Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio/console equipment.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly; mediate with tact.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns.
• Sound alarms or contact police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering or smoking.
• Control entrances and exits; verify authorized personnel.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Assist customers, employees and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
