Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driving Role in Polkton, NC. You will conduct regular armed patrols, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while providing professional customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public at a government corrections location.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and at least 21 years old for armed roles; an armed guard card is preferred, with background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other designated areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization for entry, maintain logs, and report suspicious activity or access-control issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift records while following post orders and policies.
