Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, staff, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents, observations, patrol activity, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
