Platinum Group Security (PGSUSA) is seeking an Armed Retired LEO Supervisor to lead security operations at a national media facility in Arlington, VA. The role demands a seasoned supervisor with proven leadership, armed credentials, and a commitment to safeguarding personnel and client assets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Retired law enforcement with armed qualifications preferred.
  • DC SPO license and armed credentials required.
  • Pass background check and drug screening.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm in high-stress situations.
  • Physically fit and able to perform essential duties.
  • Current DC SPO license mandatory.
  • Maintain DC licensing and firearms qualifications for armed duties.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the senior security presence for the assigned facility.
  • Supervise and direct security personnel at the location.
  • Maintain a professional security presence and monitor access control.
  • Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and threats.
  • Coordinate responses to active-threat/active-shooter incidents per procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain incident and daily activity reports.
  • Coordinate with client management and emergency responders as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with post orders, policies, and client requirements.
  • Assist with emergency drills and security exercises.
  • Protect employees, visitors, executives, and client property.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the senior security presence for the assigned national media facility.
  • Supervise and provide direction to security personnel assigned to the location.
  • Maintain a highly visible, professional security presence.
  • Monitor access control, visitor screening, employee entrances, and restricted areas.
  • Respond to security incidents, emergencies, alarms, disturbances, and threats.
  • Coordinate response to active-threat/active-shooter incidents in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain close communication with client management and PGS USA leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation.
  • Conduct security inspections and identify vulnerabilities or potential security concerns.
  • Ensure security personnel comply with post orders, policies, procedures, and client requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response planning, drills, and security exercises.
  • Coordinate with MPD and other emergency responders when necessary.
  • Exercise sound judgment regarding the appropriate use of force and escalation of incidents.
  • Protect employees, visitors, guests, executives, and client property.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client operations, personnel, security procedures, and sensitive information.
Physical Requirements:
  • Candidates must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor and demonstrate the judgment, maturity, emotional control, and situational awareness expected of an experienced law-enforcement professional
  • The position requires an individual who is physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods, conducting security patrols, and responding quickly to emergencies.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test screening.
  • Retired in good standing from one of the following:
  • NCIS
  • U.S. Park Police (USPP)
  • U.S. Capitol Police (USCP)
  • Montgomery County (PD)
  • Prince George County (PD)
  • Current District of Columbia Special Police Officer (SPO) license
  • Current authorization/qualification to work armed in the District of Columbia
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
  • Prior law-enforcement or security supervisory experience
  • Active Shooter/Active Threat training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during high-stress situations
  • Physically fit and capable of performing the essential duties of the position
  • Ability to pass all required company and client screening requirements
  • A current D.C. Special Police Officer (SPO) license is mandatory. Candidates must maintain all required D.C. licensing, firearms qualifications, training, and certifications necessary to legally perform armed security duties in the District.
